What's new in MyGeotab - October 2024

Introducing Geotab's Sustainability Center: Insights for a Sustainable Fleet Future

Geotab is excited to launch the Sustainability Center, a comprehensive suite within the MyGeotab platform designed to provide actionable insights and help reduce emissions. This new feature empowers fleets to:

  • Monitor emissions.

  • Track avoided tailpipe emissions from EV usage.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce idling and optimize fuel consumption.

  • Explore fleet electrification potential.

Key Features Include:

  • Emissions intensity tracking and measurement of avoided tailpipe emissions.

  • Detailed idling data to reflect time spent idling and its fuel or energy impact.

  • Insights into idling exceptions to evaluate program effectiveness.

  • Access to the Electric Vehicle Suitability Assessment (EVSA) for tailored electrification assessments.

Upgraded MyGeotab Login Page

The updated MyGeotab login page is now live across all databases! While the look has been refreshed, the functionality and workflow remain unchanged.

Enhanced My Reports Page

Enjoy a smoother experience with new upgrades to the My Reports page:

  • Cancel reports in progress to free up resources.

  • Receive notifications to prevent duplicate report requests.

  • Flag reports with long runtimes for better adjustments.

  • Limit downloads to five reports at a time, with additional reports queued.

Filter Your Reports By:

  • Status: Ready, In Progress, Pending, Failed.

  • Source: Downloaded or Emailed.

Improvements to Inspection Reports

Defects Retain Repair Status

Defects marked as "Repair not necessary for safe operation" will now retain this status in subsequent inspection reports until repaired. Drivers won’t need to repeatedly address these defects on each inspection.

API Update for Carried-Over Defects

Carried-over defects will now reference the original DVIRDefect ID instead of creating new IDs. This API-level change helps integrators track defects through the full repair cycle.

This month’s updates continue to streamline fleet management while empowering fleets to take meaningful steps toward sustainability. Stay tuned for more enhancements in the future!
